How do I switch from Ozempic to Wegovy?

If you are currently using Ozempic or have used it previously for weight loss, the following guidance applies:

• If you are currently taking Ozempic:
  You may switch to the equivalent dose of Wegovy or the next dose level. For example, if you are on 1.0mg Ozempic, you may move to 1.7mg Wegovy.
• If you have had a short treatment gap of a few weeks:
  You may continue Wegovy at the dose you previously reached.
• If you were previously taking Ozempic 1.0mg and had a longer break:
  Restarting Wegovy at 0.5mg is recommended to reduce the risk of side effects such as nausea.
• If Ozempic is prescribed for type 2 diabetes:
  You should continue using Ozempic and not switch to Wegovy. Wegovy is not licensed for diabetes management.
